How do you remove the center console trim (auto)?
I’m trying to install the cando+ module, but I cannot get the last two clips(the ones near the cupholders) loose on the console CF trim around the shifter unit. I’m super paranoid about cracking the cf, but I’ve tried with the smallest flathead screwdriver I own and I am having no luck. What’s the trick here?
I did see BMW DIY Guy’s video and it helps, but I think I need a visual or something. |

Took me a while as well to get them out when I installed the lighted center console trim. I ended up using a pick tool by pressing down and kind of rotating the tool to get some extra torque on the depressing of the tab. The tabs are firmer than I thought they would be.

Why don’t they make ambient light for manual. Didn’t foresee this as a sacrifice…

Thanks, but that doesn't help. He purposely skips the removal of the top tabs, and I need to remove the shifter assembly so I have to remove the entire trim.
