Anyone rocking no spoiler?

I had to remove my spoiler due to the carbon fiber de-laminating(sp?)...
and while I'm still deciding on fixing it, or getting a different one... I'm not really hating the look without any spoiler on the trunk.

anyone here driving around without a spoiler? any pictures?

The car doesn't look bad without one. I drove around for a bit while my new spoiler was getting painted.

I’m doing no spoiler but I’m also buying the Turner “easy on easy off” STI looking wing, which will irritate my wife to no end
This is my inspiration for no spoiler from RW at EAS’ shop

I think the color helps for sure!

I'm going back and forth between it looks too bare and it's not bad...
but I'm leaning towards it's too bland at the moment

depends on color. i think BSM, TP, PBM or frozen (either) pulls it off the best with no spoiler. i think SPY, JG, BGM, or the brighter colors benefit especially in CF. YMMV

Zero need for a spoiler. The aero works superbly at speed on the Autobahn etc. The grip and planted feel are excellent. Save your money. Drive and enjoy. Looks wonderful in red with no spoiler.

Except your photo shows it with the stock trunk spoiler.

G87 looks horrendous without a spoiler and a front lip. Must-dos.

IMO

I considered going no spoiler while I was deciding how to mod my car.

I think if you elongate the bottom of the car with a lip kit, eliminate wheel gap, and add some wheels the no spoiler look can work. Without these, I think no spoiler looks unfinished.

Here's an example, and what originally sold me on the no spoiler look:

Another example

Ultimately I installed the MHC+ V Style spoiler, which is quite minimal. I've enjoyed the look of it, but occasionally wish I hadn't installed it.

I would encorage you to try it if the spoiler is already off. It's easier to install a spoiler later than to remove one if you change your mind.

Took off the anemic spoiler that came with my vehicle (G42) and I am glad I did.

on the one hand I personally love the stock look of the car, but on the other hand I've always wanted a fat spoiler on my car and finally have an opportunity to do that...I have about a month to ponder haha

Anyone know whether that oem “spoiler” is functional or purely cosmetic? I’m pretty sure the downforce is negligible, but did it perform some other function? Like wind noise or reduce nefative pressure for dust/dirt etc?
