Starting a thread for all those who have a build week of 42 (Production Started). Curious what your current production status is or when you have taken ownership of your vehicle and date.

Does your vehicle have the HK audio system?

It does, and the recall for the part..but I'm told that gets installed at the vpc

I called BMW today and they said that after the initial delivery date they don't get any updates on when it might finish. He also told me that they are most likely waiting for parts or possible doing repairs. I am leaning towards waiting on parts mostly likely why it wont pass QC. no clue tho

Jumping on this thread. My order was placed Dec. 7. My dealer had an allocation for 2nd or 3rd week of January-and that's exactly what happened. Took just over 2 weeks to get to QC-and it's been there since yesterday.

Have no idea what build week that is. Can you someone let me know, or let me know where they got that info?

Anyway, by the looks of things I might be stuck in this status for a while. So it goes. I knew that going in. Still, I'm pretty impatient. Generally fall in love with a car on the lot-that was not an option this time.

My vehicle moved on from quality check to final assembly just now! Finally, I'm getting a good vibe that it could be on a ship by the end of the month. Goodbye QUALITY CHECK purgatory!
