M Sport Steering Wheel

How do you guys clean your steering wheel?

I bought some leather cleaner and conditioner for my seats and wondering if it’s safe to use on the steering wheel, it’s leather right?

Yes, the wheel is leather. Leather cleaner would be fine to use, but I'd avoid using conditioner, unless you want a shiny slick wheel.

I like the matte finish that the wheel came with as new, so I use some mild soap and a microfiber cloth to wipe down the wheel every few weeks and that works well for me.

Hope this helps,
Bill

Don’t - unless you want it to go shiny.

Better idea is to always drive with clean hands and don't eat in your car.

As others said careful not to use a conditioner or anything that will leave residue on the wheel post cleaning.

Proper leather cleaning and conditioning products will not make it shiny. Buy quality detailing products designed for the purpose and you’ll always get good results. Buy cheap stuff and you’ll get varied results, maybe good, maybe a mess such as slick shiny leather.

This is the absolute best product I've used for cleaning leather, including leather-wrapped steering wheels. It leaves a matte finish with no slick or shiny residue at all.

what kind of conditioner y'all using that leaves nasty residue behind? any real conditioner and the right amount (most people use way too much) will leave the leather supple and soft, no tackiness or anything. i use leather milk conditioner on all my leather products, including car stuff. do not clean your wheel with a cleaner and leave it unconditioned. its like polishing your car and not waxing or using a sealant after.

I hate people that eats inside a car. The smell, the crumbs, the spillage, the mess. Anyone would be kicked right now if they attempt to eat in my car lol.
