Still a work in progress - few more pieces to finish the exterior. I know this platform is controversial for the BMW fans against this edgier design direction, but this is (in my opinion) the most dynamic vehicle in the BMW lineup today.

More to come.

Thanks!

For the Cup 2’s, no they didn’t. I have my complete set of 930M’s with the P4S’ as my backup set. Cup’s aren’t great in the rain, but for intended purposes for this car, they work better for me than the 4S’.

And I understand. At least you’re in AB. Out west it rains a lot more… the stock tires aren’t great in the rain either, so just go full on track tires for sure, I’d be doing the same if I were moving back to the prairies. Too sketchy in the rainy region here.

Enjoy it!

The big question: winter set??
Totally agree. Daily'ing Cup 2's in rainy season would not be fun. Hard to beat them for a super sticky street set that can still rip at the track, but definitely better options for lots of wet duty!

And definitely no winter set for the G87! The X5M does all the winter duty, and it does it very well. I actually daily'ed my now long gone F80 M3. It was lowered, front lip kit etc. - it actually did amazingly well with the trick rear ///M diff and winter tires, but it was such a snow plow .

Damn. That is one sexy looking car! I love the matte look. Making me wish I would have gone the stealth ppf route but too late now for my BSM.

If you’re gonna do a G87, that’s the sweet color way, although I would have gone with some contrast on the 827M’s, rather than complete murdered out look. Either powdercoat them silver (like mine pictured) or the factory gold/bronze. All in all, it’s a very nice build. 👍

G87 M2 and front plate are so incompatible

Seeing your ride's great front shots further reinforces my painful conclusion that if one lives in a jurisdiction that mandates front plates, the G87 M2 is not for you . . a front plate ruins the car's looks and compromises BMW's carefully-designed thermal management.

I tend to agree...IMO Brilliant silver wheels would really set it off. That's what makes aftermarket great...choices!!

Nice M2!!

Oh my .. absolute choice !

I do agree with others gold 827 would definitely set it off another galaxy

But in any case still a 13 out of 10 & it’s what you like that matters

Nice! Main page feature, thanks Bimmerpost . That's a first for me.

Appreciate all the positive feedback - awesome to see fellow enthusiasts appreciate the build.

Definitely. Final round for the exterior involves the MHC+ Edition 1 front lip, sideskirts, and rear diffuser in carbon. All OEM+, nothing too loud and over the top. I'll add in the yellow DRL's at the same time and that should do it.

Thanks! I did the oil cooler protective plate the same day I drove it home from the dealership. I got the PLM version - it fits fine and does the trick, but definitely not the sexiest part of the build.

Not sure my plan for the front rads though, leave it or get the Zunsport.

The theme for this build was always angry and dark - the body lines and angles on this car are so aggressive that I always envisioned it looking pissed off. Hence the stealth wrap, black badges, black roundels, dark tint, headlights etc.

I did want to keep things OEM+ as well so had the 963M's in the cart at one point as well, but it didn't quite work (in my mind) with how dark the rest of the exterior was. For the true CSL wheels (gold bronze), I'd have gone that route if I kept the exterior gloss black and optioned the red brakes - that's another perfect combo IMO.
