I know this isn't an exciting or maybe favorable topic but my 10 year old always has a water bottle and there is no where to keep one in the back seat. Has anyone found an aftermarket solution?

I already bought and tried it. Unfortunately it's not even close and found it's not worth trying to modify.

This is on a M2 forum, which has the same interior as the G42 M240i. The M240i has cup holders in the rear, pull down armrest.

Since noone sits in the back seat of my car it really a non issue for me.

With the ski pass through and a trunk monkey, you could just have the monkey hold the cups and pass them to the rear passengers when needed

Really, mine won't make coffee, it just pees in a cup. I'll take it to the dealer for reprogramming.

2024 G42 here, and there is still a cupholder in the fold down armrest that folds down from the pass through. It is amazing how much stuff disappeared from the 2022 to the 2023, but the cup holder was not one of them.

Unfortunately, I have not. I saw some guys 3D printing versions for other model BMWs but I haven't seen one for ours yet. I was hoping that in time, someone would make one.
