Rare Slate Green E46 M3 For Sale
Which one of you spec’d this absolutely gorgeous e46, and which one of you nutjobs is going to buy it?
Crazy price, but I think one recently sold on BaT (?) for like $112k with far more miles on it. Beautiful car for sure! https://www.ryanfriedmanmotorcars.co...bmw-m3-c-2249/

Incredible price, but then it's an incredible example of an E46 M3 as well. BMW Individual paint!
I suppose a car like this brings to mind the question -- is there a disadvantage to an older vehicle with super low miles? A couple of years ago I sold a Dodge (Mercedes-Benz) Sprinter van that was 18 years old and had something under 26K miles on the odometer.

Gonna be honest. It's ugly. The color is ugly, the color with the interior is ugly, it's just not a good look, one of the ugliest combos I've seen on an E46 M3.
I'm sure someone out there will buy it to be different, but it's different because it's ugly. |

It is absolutely stunning!!! But, it’s not worth $140,000!! And not being able to drive it because of causing it to lose its inflated value makes it worth $140,000 even less.

Friend spec'd his E46 that he bought while stationed in Germany. Financed it through USAA and they did not want to finance it because he opted out of the sunroof. They did and he sold it a few years later for a profit.
This color is unique and in sunlight might look nice. I can't see buying this because you will never be able to enjoy it. |

It's your honest opinion that it's ugly. That's fine. But what you find ugly might be absolutely stunning to someone else. You state that it's ugly like it's an absolute. That's silly. It's totally subjective.

It is beautiful, but 140K, really? lol. It is not even like new-old (i.e. with mileage below at like 500 or something).

Look at all of Ryan Friedman's cars, all have ridicules prices! Must be a lot of more money than brains in New York!

That's a tough one. Cars aren't worth it to me unless they're on the road and this obviously is meant to sit in a garage full of other 6 digit cars, all on battery maintainers, being driven at most 100 miles per year. At the same time, if we didn't have people with too much money buying them up and hiding them away, there would be nothing left but high mileage examples with the doors falling off. So I can't fault it, but it's not for me.

I'd guess it's more of a sales tactic they use to list cars with ridiculous prices and then they've got tons of room to make it look like they're giving a huge discount when they're still selling it for a big profit. Pretty much guaranteed they are into that car for far less than half that amount.

Funny they probably gave the person $35k for the trade-in for that. Agree that I am not a fan of the color. Some Individual colors are pretty ugly. Some are pretty stunning though. There is no way this car is worth $130K +. I could understand like $50k or $60k. Some dealerships are just ridiculous.

It's been my experience that a lot of the absolutely absurd prices you see are consignment cars where someone thinks their car is worth a fortune. Had a similar situation on a Roush truck once. Called up and asked the sales guy about it. He said it was some super rich guys, he had like 50 cars and needed the space, but not that badly. Said they'd get a call from him every month or so asking if it was sold, they'd say no it's priced too high, and he'd say find a buyer. They were getting kinda irritated about it all. I put in an offer with them which he rejected and they told him that he needed to come.get his truck back because they can't sell it at a price he wants.
I bet that's the case here. |
