Newbie entering....

Hello to all. Just put down a deposit on a factory ordered 2025 M240i XDrive today. My first BMW car, ever. Have only owned Ford or Chevy "performance cars" so it's a whole new experience. Will be asking lots of modifications questions in the next few months so I hope you're all ready.

Yep. 3 months is gonna suck but that will give me some time to get to know about what mods/add-ons to look at. Wheels/Tires are on the top of my list. Want something bigger but not crazy expensive. From what I've gathered so far, it looks like the biggest tire you can run on the front is 265's, yes?

Yeah i bought some stuff while I waited approx 5.5 months so I was able to install right away. Not sure about tires, I run 255 & 245 35ZR-19 CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS on the ZTK wheels.

I was torn on optioning the ZTK pkg but I just decided to use that towards my own tire/wheel parts. I'd heard different opinions on the updated brakes but when I test drove the upgraded M Sport brakes the only difference I could tell between them and my 6 piston Brembos on my Mustang was initial bite. Not sure if there's a pad upgrade that would help with that. Is that a spoiler in the picture? That's #2 on my list to add on.

Dude, add the ZTK package while you can. I was on the fence at first and eventually told my CA to add it and I am glad I did. You get gigantic calipers, larger rotors, unique wheels, fender garnishes, and the oil cooler. Well worth the $2K or whatever it is.

Yes, its the autoid carbon fiber spoiler. I am not a fan of how large/tall the OEM MPerformance CF spoiler is, I love the size and fitment of the autoid.

Agree, order the ZTK. I regret not getting it even though I don’t track the car. My SA didn’t give me the full details on what it included on my 23. After I went back and researched more it was already to late. Even without the ZTK it’s still amazing though.

Yeah, BMW does not disclose exactly what is included in the package and as a result many do not order it. Now that we are a few model years in, its been figured out and shared across the forums but the average shopper ordering on BMW’s site has no idea.

I like the way it fits, just not a fan of CF. Maybe it can be painted gloss black?

Of course, but if you like black Id just keep it CF. From a distance itll look black, and up close you can see the CF goodness.

Massachusettes 2025 TNM 240 checking in. My car is about to be shipped, built to shipped in less than a month. Congrats to you on your order!

I got ZTK as just the PS4S that come with it are $1200 value.

I have a similar list of mods stashed in my garage already

ID-01 Spolier
12mm FC Spacers
M240 black badge and will debadge xdrive
TLG "mud flap" (very subtle)
StonSho plate holder for driver assist
IND painted reflector delete and Axxon rear reflector deletes.
Tuxmats

I was going to jump right into forged wheels this summer but I've decided to drive one year on the OEM wheels so I can get a really good idea of what I want for wheels.

My car will arrive just before winter with summer tires on it. Will swap to PSAS4 in OEM size at delivery. Long term I will use ZTK wheels as winters.

Congrats Masshole! Built to shipped in a month, I'm jealous. I was told by the GSM 3 to 4 months May I ask where you purchased? I ordered from BMW Sudbury and got an unbelievable deal.(in my opinion) Maybe the reason why it was so good is the wait time

I planned on upgrading wheels and tires even if I got the ZTK so I decided to go without ZTK and use the $$$ towards that. Will switch out the summer tires with an OEM snow tires. Having never driven an AWD car ever, with this car can you get away with A/S tires for Mass. winters?

If you can do me a solid. If you know anyone who may be interested in buying my 2016 Mustang GT Premium with tasteful mods let me know. It has 24,765 mi.(now) and price is $29,750.

Also ordered from Sudbury, they offered the best deal at 3k off MSRP but I didnt push very hard.

They put my order in the day I finalized my build, and the car finished building 15 days later. I think my experience was atypical since the order went into build 1 day after being placed.

I have an SUV with air suspension lift and true snow tires on it for driving in the storms and I dont have to go into the office when it snows. Here's my points on winter tires in the new england area...
  • Inside of 495 we rarely have snow on the roads for very long. If you are not driving on actual snow often then I wouldnt bother getting snow tires as they give up a ton of performance in the wet and dry.
  • If you go north often snow tires become more important.
  • Snow tires are just as important for driving in the snow on an AWD car as they are on a FWD or RWD car. AWD only helps you accelerate in slippery conditions, the car still turns and brakes like any other car and on snow surface you must have snow tires if you want to maximize the far more important turning and braking capabilities.
  • if you drive slow and leave plenty of space for other cars all season tires are adequate for getting home in a snow storm
  • You can get pirelli cinturato weatheractive 4-season tires in a size that fits the ZTK wheels 225/40/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. Those tires match in diameter.

If you dont get ZTK you have runflat tires. Runflat tires suck ass.

I got the staggered non-run flat summer tire option. I'm pretty much on 495 due west of Boston (Marlborough) so the roads do stay snowy/slushy a little longer. Just gonna stick with snow tires to be safe. Can you get away with a 225mm snow tire on an 8.5" rim?

The deal I got from them was just out of luck. I had a deal going with Tully in Nashua but hadn't actually test drove the car yet. I booked an appt. to test drive at Sudbury and showed up, test drove it and thought it was great. As I was leaving, I was talking to the salesman and told him that I really would've preferred to go with them but when I had last spoke to them they weren't budging on MSRP. He said "let me talk to my GSM tomorrow and see what he says". To my surprise the next day I get a call and they'll beat the offer by $1k! Told them to send me the offer, I looked it over and drove down and took the deal. It was 10.25% off MSRP. Just got off the phone with the GSM and he said the car was already in production so maybe it's a good sign?

I'm gonna have to try to twist the screws when my car arrives but probably more on trade in value.

225 can go on an 8.5in wheel, its the max wdth but it would be fine.

245/35/19 is basically a non-existent tire size for winters and 4-season tires.

fuck tulley tho, they tried to strong arm me into giving a 3k non-refundable deposit and said I had to answer by 10am the next day. I blocked the sales persons number.

I agree. Tulley was a PITA to deal/work with. Was the salesperson Alexis by any chance? First, they didn't want to do a deal without me being there. Talked them outta that. Then they wanted to also throw the $2k-$3k deposit BS and I told them absolutely not and didn't hear back for 2 days. They come back with a $1k offer and I was okay with that. Mind you, while all this was happening they hadn't sent me any actual numbers on a sheet/file. All they kept saying was "we'll beat that offer by x amount. Got them down to what I thought was still an unbelievable offer (at the time) but then got the Sudbury offer. Which was such a relief because they are ~15 min. down the road and can pick it up.

If you know somebody who is interested in maybe getting about the same deal I would've got from Tulley (~9% off I believe) let me know. They just emailed me wondering if I was still interested? If you know someone, I can always reply back saying I'm no longer interested in a new car for personal reasons and ask them if they will match this offer for a "friend"?

Yes, Alexis lmao.

Couldn't believe they try to pull that crap with me, I've put 1k deposits on much more expensive cars.

I think I'm screwed. I just signed up on MYBMW website to look at the build process. What I didn't notice on the build sheet they gave me was it was ordered with the 995m style wheel and I wanted the 792M style. I already received a VIN# so I think I'm screwed.

What does it say on the official itemized build sheet from the dealer? I had to ask my salesperson for that document explicitly to see my moonroof delete, doesn't even show on other order summaries.
