Best Spacers / Installation Questions

Hi, I just recently took delivery for my new m240ix. I've seen some posts and pictures in the past of owners who had spacers installed and I really liked the look. I am very new to this and a few questions I have:

1. For someone who is US based, is there a consensus or oem one to buy? Does someone have a link of where to buy them?

2. Is this something the BMW dealership would be able to install, or do most people go to a local autobody shop? (I am not looking to install myself)

3. How many mm in front and how many mm in the back is recommended?

4. Does this void any part of the new car warranty? Any drawback to adding the spacers?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

x-ph.com or burgertuning.com

Maybe a local tire shop? I'd suggest taking a small tube of anti-seize with you and ask them to apply a thin coat between the spacer and the hub.

3. How many mm in front and how many mm in the back is recommended?
If you have the ZTK package I'd recommend 13mm front and back. If you don't, then someone else should advise. Sorta depends on your wheel/tire package.

4. Does this void any part of the new car warranty? Any drawback to adding the spacers?
No and no. If anyone says spacers are bad, ask them to prove it.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
Spacers make the car!

I have now seen/read members running 12mm all around on the ZTK package and XC3LLR8, you mention 13mm. 335IE92 says that Motech now recommends 12mm all around. I am not sure if 1 mm makes a difference but I wonder if either of you had rubbing issues with the wheel turned all the way (obviously less to do with everyday driving, more of a question when parking, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Nearly 12,000 miles with 13mm spacers on ZTK and zero rubbing.

Thanks for confirming! Did you get the burger-tuning spacers?

I don’t have the ZTK package. Just checking if these sizes will work……

I just watched the video from Burger and I think I’m just going to go 10 or 13 all the way around. I’ll measure first to see what look I want. Install is ridiculously easy, I’ll go to Harbor freight and get a torque wrench. 🤓

13 is great if you have ZTK, if not I'd go 10. The fender flares on the ZTK are about 4mm at the top of the arch.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Have you seen the “475HP B58 performance package” for $1299-ish? I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on it.

If you wanted to see what 13mm spacers all around look like on a ZTK package, here you go.

I love the way that looks but I don’t have the ZTK package so I’m curious what that would look like

I just ordered the Burger 10 for the front and 13 for the rear. We’ll see how it looks….. that’s kind of what they recommend when you read the specifications

If you love the way the 13's look on the ZTK, then I'm not sure you'll love the look of the 13's on the rear of your non-ZTK.

However, the 10's on the front you should be happy with for sure.

Luckily it’s a relatively simple cheap change…..

Not if you also need different bolts and locking bolts for flipping between 10 and 13mm it’s not.

13mm looks about perfect to me. I’m glad I went that direction. Even if I lower it there’s plenty of room for the tire to not hit the panel. (The left side is stock the right side is 13mm.)

My son tells me that almost daily (he lowered his '23 Supra). However, I like the extra real world protection and ability to drive up on ramps for oil changes.
