To add to the above post, we know some folks are going to ask about OEM valve compatability.
We have chosen to use pneumatic valves in this system and here is why. It is no secret that the factory exhaust valves do not follow the drivers commands. When you put the car in sport or sport plus the valve does not fully open or only opens at certain RPMs. At Valvetronic Designs our mission is to provide enthusiast with the ultimate experience, that is why giving the driver the strict control over the exhaust system allows for a more dynamic and better sound solution for the platform. Here is a for instance, let's say you have a free flow downpipe installed, and you're starting the car in the morning in your neighborhood. The factory valve parameters would not allow you to close the exhaust valves upon initial start up. But the Valvetronic Design system allows to pneumatically close the exhaust before that initial cold start limiting the first two or three seconds of cold start and dropping the sound levels by almost 15 dB initial start. We can guarantee you this will save you from very angry neighbors and HOA complaints. These few seconds count. On the other side, let's say you want to have a really aggressive cold start and you wanna flex to your friends with how bad ass your M240i sounds in comparison to theirs with other exhaust systems. You can open the valves fully before that start and get the most aggressive sound instead of the factory valves, fluctuating. We have done countless poles and studied what enthusiast are truly looking. This research has led us to construct the system in particular way. For those folks whom do not love the usage of the remote, you're able to program the exhaust remote to your garage door buttons in order to not have a key fob. This system truly has no compromises! |

Can the pneumatic valves be controlled by the bmw modes or do you have to use your remote dongle? |

Sounds great, like the other person asked do we have to use your controller with the valves or is it compatible with the stock valve controller. Problem in the 240 is the 22s were the only ones with a 12v in the trunk. 23 or newer we would have to route it to the phone charger area up front.

How much louder is this Valvetronic system versus the Dinan system?
I’m finding my G42 with the Dinan (flaps fully open) and an AA DP to be a bit lacking in sound versus my F22 FBO. |
