Dinan Intake Question

Hi Folks,
Just want a sanity check if I'm being to critical. I received my Dinan CAI (The Pex because I prefer the stock look) and the intake tube casting has large cavities around the MAF and full 360 deep gap for the mount to the box. Always thought a smooth flow was key, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Contact Dinan support. They’ve always gotten back to me within 48 hours. Often sooner.

They’ll be able to say if everything is correct with the item you received or if something is wrong and needs to be replaced.

Thank You,
I spoke with Dinan and this is normal. I installed the turbo intake pipe and CAI the other day and love the sound

I can delete this post if you feel it's not needed.
