Beautiful! Looks like you can't miss with these wheels. Any plans to lower car?

No, the car is not lowered, and based on the way it looks and rides, I don't plan on it It has sport package, so maybe that is why it looks lowered.
The wheel widths are 8.5" front, 9.5" rear, with offsets of 40 f, and 39r.
They really do look like they are a factory option.
Thanks to all for the compliments, and thanks to tirerack for all their knowledge and expertise

Actually the camera and lighting kinda play with that a little in the third pic. Plus the car was sitting a little down on the right side because the pavement slopes there. If you look at the 4th and 5th pics it gives a better idea (that is why I took the close-ups) The overall tire prfile only goes down an inch jumping from 17" to 19", no two inches. 1 inch top and bottom.

Actually my last ride was a 330 with performance package, which I specifically got because I dislike the aluminum around the windows. With the new engine being a 3.0, and with a 6 speed, I really don't feel like I lost a lot at all. This being my 5th BMW, I think I made an educated decision. Bear in mind I drive these cars EVERYDAY, all the time, so my choice was the best for me. Most people only get short test drive to base their decision on. My car looks and rides like almost no other E90 out there, that was a personal choice. Can't expect everyone to agree

How did the switch to the 19's affect speedo accuracy? Is there a huge difference?

I do know about the calculator in the wheel area, but I'd like to hear first hand results.

Your car look sweet.. I was thinking of putting these rims on my JetBlack. After looking at the awesome pictures you posted I'm going to order them.

If you use the wheel calculator on the wheels/tires category it says the same. Tirerack agrees. Actual height difference overall when mounted is less than 1/4", so no difference. I have estimated it to be the same, no difference.
They do ride smoother, and bump compliance is actually better, even with 1" less sidewall. This I believe is due to non-runflat tires. The actual difference between these and the 18" 162's is 1/2 inch of sidewall. Same rolling diameter. Nothing to worry about. It seems just the thought of 19's makes people sqeamish, but remember E46 M3's have had this wheel tire set-up for awhile now. It's not that extreme of a package folks!

Cool. Thanks for the info. Good to hear that you really don't give up anything by going with the 19's. Have you passed one of those roadside speed signs yet? You know the ones that display your current speed? I'd love to hear what the difference may be (if any) if you ever pass by one.

They do look great!

I know I'm going with the ASA's on my Jet Black, just not sure if 18 or 19.

As a matter of fact I have, the 1st day I had them on. Dead on according to my cruise setting, mph gauge and the radar sign.

I was thinking 18" at first. The issue I had was the specified tires are 225mm wide. I already had Sport, with 255mm in the back. I didn't want to downsize in tires in the rear. 18's should look fine though, if you don't have sport. Good luck with them!

After seeing your 19's I'm very interested in going with the 19's. I'm just not sure I want to commit to the sport tires, I'm more interested in the all seasons but can't find any over 18". Either way I can't go wrong.
I do love the alpine white by the way. What a beautiful car. "Perfect!"

I would've gone 20s ....Nevertheless, your ride looks awesome. I almost got those rims too....but in BLACK. (wife won't approve of it - black on black )

If you want a smoother ride....you might be able to squeeze in 235/40/19 and 265/35/19....just a thought.

Actually the ride is so smooth I think I might be running too low on pressure. I am running 32 front 34 rear. In the owners manual for the optional 19's it lists 35f and 39r!
What are you running as far as psi with the 20's?

:rocks: Your car is beautiful - removes any doubt I had on my upcoming Alpine White 330. What tint do you have? It looks great.

It's 35% / 50%. The darker in the back. It's the darkest legal in Va. You really have to look close to see the difference between the two shades.
Between the tint and the vehicle being white, it really beats the heat!!

I'm running 36 psi on the front and 40 psi on the rear.

Still rides good? How is it over sharp bumps, railroad tracks for example?

To be honest with you.....I can't tell the difference between my 20s and the original Style 162(which I sold for a low low price of $1,425 ).........with the sports suspension....they both ride harsh.....the 20s actually handles better in my opinion...because the tires are wider and they grip the road like a magnet.......

The biggest difference.....value for my money!
Bridgestone Run-Flats Treadwear 140 - shorter life/cost more
Nitto NT55 Non-RF Treadwear 300 - longer life/cost way less
