CT Carbon aero?
Anybody have any of the aero pieces from CT Carbon? This might be the best-looking M2 I've seen, imo of course.

Those things (and I say that politely) by the air inlets are laughable. The spoiler, not sure what to make of it. Alpha's is by far better, IMO (and I dont like their entire kit).
The hood on Vorsteiner's new kit may be better than Alpha's |

I like how the duck tail lip is different from all the other companies. Not a fan of canards on street cars though.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the canards on the front, but they don't look horrible. I was looking at everything else in this kit (front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler). Of course it's only available in carbon fiber, which I don't want. The lower aero pieces are still over-priced, imo, but much cheaper than anything Alpha offers.

The front lip and side skirts are nice!
I would personally opt out of the canards as well, but I'm always down to see different options. I don't personally like the winglets, so it's nice to see another option without them. |

Also considering the front lip and side skirts.
From my research this is the only brand other than Alpha that has the bottom sides of the parts with smooth carbon. All of the other carbon splitters I see on the market are are open on the bottom. |

This lip and side skirts combo is at the top of my list for now, so just curious if what you brought up changes anything. Thanks! |

See image. This is from their website but the underside of the splitter is smooth and fully boxed. This I feel is like a true splitter.
All the other mfg won't show pictures on their websites. But the underside is hollow open space. See screenshot of the suvneer I found during someones install. Alpha, Verus, and some others that do track components have what I call a real splitter. Just more expensive than what I want to spend. |

I don't know that it really makes that much of a difference on the splitter/side skirts. The oem carbon fiber splitter & side skirts on my Z06 with Z07 track pkg are not smooth on the bottom. Considering the majority of us are adding these components for appearance purposes, the smooth vs non-smooth bottom won't matter.

I wonder if it helps with strength at all...not that any of us are planning on using it like a bumper car or anything. |

You think the weave (pattern) of this kit matches the M Performance weave? Would like to avoid a mismatch as I am wanting to get the carbon fiber air inlets and maybe the M Performance rear deffuser.

I have the MP rear diffuser installed at the port. When I am able to, I will order lip and side skirts (likely these CT Carbon ones). Hopefully it's the same or very similar, but also am thinking it wouldn't be the worst if it's not, since they're essentially on different sides of the car. But in your case, with the inlets, those would be pretty close to each other. Maybe rcouchh has more intel? |

Actually, that's a good question. I've just been on their website before, and actually haven't even looked up shipping costs yet.
EDIT: will cost $181 to ship to me. Last edited by xtougher; 03-27-2024 at 01:27 AM.. Reason: more info |
