Has anyone done the femto unlock + mhd tune on their g42?? I am very interested on how your experiences went as well as how different it effects the exhaust note since the g42 seems to have a neutered exhaust compared to the previous gen 240i.

I have femto unlock with MHD+ for extra features.
Also running DCE catted dp, that changed the exhaust note more than the tune.
So it’s on Stage 2 now but with 93oct map for now.
Sure you get more burbles and can change to your liking with most tunes but don’t think it got louder per se.

Should add i run stock exhaust with opf, valves usually always open but controlled also with Mhd.

Do you have sound clips? Also how does the performance feel?
I am running the AA catted dp and milltek exhaust so I am curious if the tune can give the car a better idle. I am not sure if it is an adjustable thing or not. I did however pull the exhaust valve control plug and its stuck on whatever the sport mode open level is (70% according to another thread i read)


What i really want to gain out of the tune is some more performance and more aggressive exhaust note (not louder just more aggressive with the burbles too)

I agree its decent but the previous gen 240s somehow sounded more aggressive even from factory.
