Disable "remaining fuel is very low" message

MY24 iDrive 8 M240i xDrive UK model. When I get to 25 miles of fuel range I get this annoying audible message “you’re remaining range is very low, would you like me to find you a petrol station.”

This blasts out at loud volume and tbh is so embarrassing. Yes I’m often low on fuel because my right foot’s made of lead!

Anyway to disable this audible messaging permanently through iDrive?

I think I’ve seen some coding choices around this. I think the warning thresholds.

25 miles? You’re lucky. Mine starts nagging at 50 miles to go. That’s 1/4 of a tank!

Might have been 50. I know there’s one warning for 50 saying low fuel but then another at 25

Yeah, it starts at 50 and really gets pushy at 29.

My G87 M2 at 25 will disappear in no time but I am on a stage 2 tune. If you are tuned running an E85 and get to 25, you better get to a station or you are basically screwed.

You should be able to turn off the audible message. On mine it just chimes once or twice when the fuel is low but it doesn’t make an announcement.

I've noticed once you get really low on fuel it starts decreasing much faster for some reason.

Yeah I just want to turn the announcement off. It tries to actually route me to a petrol station and I don’t want that at all

I think I read somewhere that driving on low fuel is not good for the car. The reason was not explained.

Fuel cools the fuel pump, preventing overheating.

Yes, you can adjust at what miles remaining the warning happens with BimmerCode.

i may be wrong, but if you adjust the volume while the message is playing it should control that specific volume.

Try selecting the G20. I did all of my codings a while back before the G42 was officially supported.

I did it, I moved the initial warning from 50 miles to 40 miles. Unless they pulled out this feature since I did my codings late summer 2023.
