Hey guys I just made a deposit of $500 for a Waitlist allocation for the new G87 M2! Once I made the deposit, i asked him when I will be getting the allocation. He said that no new info has been released yet but it should be by the end of the year, and he would keep me updated with any new info along the way!

Well guys I have a 2022 M240i that I will be trading in and really excited that I put a deposit down because I think this will be one of the best drivers cars Bmw has to offer! Wanted to know if anyone else has put any deposits or looking to order one soon?!

I'll likely also try to get on the list for a first year G87, and trade in the Supra 3.0 I bought late last year.

Nicee so us B58 guys are trading in for the New S58 lol it will be nice to see a more powerful engine in a car smaller than the M3 or M4. I think the results will be amazing!

Yeah I think if we order with an allocation it won't be a demo. We will just have one of the first production cars but on modifying a demo car, I have no idea.

Interesting to see a couple other folks bought Supras. I got tired of waiting for a G80 allocation and also feared the M3/M4 platform had just gotten too heavy for my liking.

I'm about a week into my time with the Supra... So far it's a lot of fun.

Also first on my dealer's waitlist and I was surprised to be the first given the 20+ people waitlist they have on G80. If I can fit the car seats for my 4 and 2 year old kids, G87 will be the bargain of the century assuming the base MT starts around $60k...

I am getting in line for one. Waiting to hear from sales manager to place my $1k reservation. I do not NEED a first year car, but a 50th Anniversary car.....since I will be turning 50 in 2023 would be nice....and if I can put Individual paint and other options on it.....

I am also on a reservation list for a future variant of the Corvette. Probably Grand Sport or E-Ray or whatever they call it. I tried to get on the wicked Z06 list but it filled up way too fast and I would likely not have gotten a car for 6 years.

My dealers HEA G42 was not modifiable. Our G82 was.

That's interesting, but also makes sense. M cars are not necessarily made for the masses like the 230/240.

HEA is just a acronym in German which stands for 'Handler Erst Ausstattung'. English translation is 'Dealer first equipment'. These are basically the first new model cars select dealers get as demos.

I remember when the F87 first came out there were markups anywhere from $5-10k over MSRP. In that specific situation BMW was caught a bit off guard with so many prospective buyers while their initial production volume was low. This was why dealers were able to price gouge buyers. Production later ramped up, prices stabilized and the average sales price was MSRP. I don't anticipate BMW will underestimate the demand for the G87 this time, but I do think all the supply chain issues may result in a similar situation. We shall see.
