Help engine management light!!!!
Hi, wondering if anyone can help every so often when I floor the car (e90 325i) it goes into limp mode. Not every time but I'd say 1 in 5. Usually does it for a minute or so then goes off. Only when I hammer it does this happen. Anyone had this before or know the problem? Any help be much appreciated.

It could be any number of things. First thing to do is get the codes read and see what it says. i had a similar thing with my old 335i and new coils and plugs fixed it.

Probley never had the latest code reading software, but as previous post suggests I rekon down to the same old coils, spark plugs, injectors etc.. Sounds like a misfire
Had this on my 335i new spark plugs sorted the problem |

Ye I reckon it might be spark plugs as well, cars done 101,000 it's never had them changed. had it serviced last month asked them and they said spark plugs showing as been ok. I reckon they must be on last legs.

Bloody hell. you have done very well to get the plugs this far. At 101,000 miles you should be changing them asap anyway I would think regardless of what the problem is. And the problem is certainly pointing towards plugs now.
