warranty options for 335?

I'm looking to buy a 335 used with 50-60k miles. what are my options for warranties? is there only 3rd party warranties at that point?

Yes 3rd party warranties, some are good some aren't, id recommend getting it thru credit union as they usually use companies that don't try to deny claims a lot…Had one on my VW Gti, and i went thru 1 motor 1 turbo and 2 transmissions in 3 years lol.. Well worth the 2200 i spent up front!

Yea i got one on my 335i when factory expires it takes over.. But i just hate being modded, cuz if its turbos or something I'm going to have to put it back to stock before taking it in for the repairs..

Better than paying the 6k! I just need to find a good 3rd party

If budget is less than $20k most likely yes third party. I have had excellent luck with MasterTech PPV. Budget greater than that could put you into a 2009+ with CPO coverage remaining.

How long you plan on keeping it?

If I had the extra money I would love to get a CPO but I'm currently in college working 3-5 days a week making roughly 350-600 a week. But I plan on keep around 5 years

I'm in the same boat.. Looking to get a e93, but with 20-40k mi.. Not sure whether to get a cpo and then get an extended warranty after the cpo runs out, or just a cpo and then no extended warranty, or a non-cpo and purchase a warranty, or just a non-cpo and pay out of pocket for repairs..

If I purchase a Lci, will be a cpo for sure but will cost more for the car.. Pre-lci, no cpo (unless a 2010) but car will cost less..

What is the best option?

With your income, are you sure you want a BMW?
If you have no CPO, then all maintenance is on you, plus premium gas cause you know you want to drive it, a lot...
Tack on insurance
Hope you don't pay rent, cell phone, groceries, meals, drinks, entertainment, etc.
I would probably advise patience on this decision. I don't know where you are in college, but the fact you work while in college demonstrates good work ethic that I am sure will follow you through your professional career. But if you maintain your ethic, and your want for a nice BMW, I would say wait a few years until you get a salaried job and get a newer BMW you really love and can easily afford to maintain.
Sorry, but the financial advisor in me had to say something.
I suggest stacking your surplus in investments so you have a nice nest egg to play with post grad.

I've even affording my BMW for over a year now paying for had, insurance, and for my car. I don't pay for rent or anything like that. So my only payments are my car and phone. I've had money to save even with paying for all that along with all the mods. I'm not really worried about an extra 250$ A month

And I do appreciate the feedback, anything helps! I'm just saying on average I make around 1500 a month , which I feel like is plenty when I only have to pay for a car and 135$ phone bill

I'm all for it man. As long as you feel comfortable with your expenses I say go for it. Try to do some saving also. There are not many better feelings than knowing one day, not too far off that you won't need to work any more if you don't want to. I know the government says you should work until 67 based on life expectancy, but the reality is that unless you an executive there is a likely chance you won't be wanted/needed as you approach 60.

I have had my window reg replaced by a BMW dealership. Went smooth. They reimburse you or pay for the repair. You are responsible for shop supply fees and tax.
