I guess they did not see the pic of the brand new F80 M4, with a tree replacing the engine and with the driver "suffering" barely minor scrapes!?

That's a little surprising. I'm pretty sure BMW would be a little higher on the list than a Ford Fusion or GMC Terrain.....

Does BMW even offer a "crash prevention system"? That alone now disqualifies a car from being a top pick.

Personally my "crash prevention system" consists of paying attention to what I am doing behind the wheel. It was FREE too!

An editorial link on MSN = not the best source. The 2014 2 series made the IIHS list.

Yeah, interesting that the F3X made the list the last couple years, but now they consider the 2 series a midsize luxury which apparently beat out the F3X.

Those ratings are pretty BS. All new cars are so structurally safe nowadays they have to keep changing the "Top Pick" requirements because basically every car was meeting the criteria.

Now they have some extreme small overlap crash test and require "crash warning" or "crash prevention" systems to make the list.

Looking to MSN autos for true automobile stats is like looking to FOX News to get the real story. Just sayin.

Watch the fine print be: "No BMWs were tested in our comparisons"
