Just replaced mine and it had a good amount of oil residue in it, but not that much. I'm sure others will chime in on an explanation. Likely a high amount of blow by.

That's pretty normal. Do you have to add oil between changes?

Yeah, it won't. Makes me wonder, do any of you guys regularly remove the CP and clean it out? I never have but im sure I have a nice little oil puddle in there.

I feel like it would be bad for oil to be coming into the engine where air comes in?? Maybe not

I've thought about OCC but have always been on the fence. I wonder how much collects after 6 months. Never really hear much about 'em.

Completely normal. Oil builds up throughout the intake tract on these cars. This is where the carbon buildup comes from on the intake valves. The occ and RB pcv valve will help but they won't eliminate the issue. Probably not worth cleaning the oil out since it will start to come back the next time you drive the car.

The hose with the blowby gasses leads into the intake right after the air filter. If the filter is clogged it will cause more vacuum after the filter and it will suck more gasses from the crankcase into the intake than at regular conditions with a free breathing filter

If your air filter was that clogged, one would suspect that you would notice performance issues as well. On another note, checking your air filter is a good idea. Especially if you let it go long enough for it to get that dirty.
