New 335 Owner
Long time reader - first time poster. I just bought a 2011 e90 335i xDrive 6-speed, sapphire black with oyster/black dakota with 55,000km. Its equipped with m-sport, navi package, executive package and comfort access package. So far I'm loving it! I'm coming from a 2012 Mustang 3.7 and what a difference… just in the quality of the car. Speed wise too… its faster but its just so smooth I don't even realize how quickly the speed-o climbs.
I have a question about warranty… I have a year left in the original 4-yr/80,000km and I wanted to run a couple things by to see if they'd be covered under warranty. 1) the black trim around the start/stop button is peeling a bit 2) the clear coat on one of the rims is peeling off 3) the gas cap tether is basically cut in half, its frayed 4) the leather is in perfect condition with no marking expect for the drivers seat. Its worn, which is fine, but in certain spots the oyster has literally come off and is now brown I tried to post pictures but apparently they're too big to upload; so maybe someone can also tell me if theres a way around that |

Resize the pictures before uploading? I never got warranty on my car, but I believe some cosmetic damages BMW will not cover, read this link : http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/ser...re_repair.html
Welcome and enjoy |

Can't go wrong with an msport e90, very clean! Congrats. As for your questions, 1,3,4 you should be able to get replaced with no problems under factory warranty (hopefully this is true for Canada because I think I've read about members in the States getting these replaced with no problems under factory warranty but I have sometimes seen that things work a little bit different in Canada?). Number 4 I am not too sure about, it depends on how bad it is I suppose or maybe it doesn't even matter if it's really bad. As for the wheels, perhaps they'd fix them for you or something but I'm not sure on that one so hopefully someone can chime in on that.
