Full E85 or E85+Meth

I've been continuing my reading on countless E90Post threads and I've found most people say it is not possible to run straight E85 on the 335i? Is this true, as I recently was in a casual conversation with some guys at a local performance shop and I was told that straight E85 is possible with only having the change the fuel pump(s) as the N54 is direct injection.

Secondly, this begs the question of the purpose or possibility of running Methanol Injection AND E85, I know some people with crazy setups have run race gas and Meth which is probably similar in octane, but would both E85 and Meth on a street car be overkill and possibily dangerous on most progressive Meth setups? Is there any practical benefit on stock TTs?

Sorry for any duplicate questions but I'm still planning my build and really curious about the various avenues I can take! Thanks all.

But 100% E85 is out of the question?

100% E85 is certainly possible with an upgraded fuel pump, but on the stock pump I don't think you should exceed more than 40 or 50% E85

Yes, I really wish more people opted to upgrade their fuel pumps and injectors to run 100% e85. It's more convenient.

Our stock HPFP cannot handle 100% E85. Only 60-70% max.

Vargas HPFP upgrade will finally allow 100% E85 if it works as advertised.

The entire oem fuel delivery system can handle pure e85 once and a while depending on how worn everything is. I wouldn't recommend running 100% e85 all the time but I fill up with pure e85 around once a month with no issues and 50% all the other times. Obviously running 100 is going to reduce the life of everything but you technically CAN do it

Ah okay thank you all for the feedback. That's kind of what I was told at the shop, that the HPFP is the primary part I need to replace if I want to run 100% E85.

But for longevity's sake I might just end up doing 91 octane plus methanol. Mixing is too much of a hassle for me, and as I understand it best practice is to get a flex fuel sensor which runs off a Vishnu Procede and I plan to go JB4.
