Can I reuse the old airbag from my original steering wheel or do I need to buy a different one?

All depends on which airbag you have now and which steering wheel you are going with if I'm not mistaken.

Since you have an E92 you already have the sport steering wheel. You can reuse your airbag for the performance steering wheel.

Yup! Just make sure that battery is disconnected so you don't get a bag in the face neck snap when you reconnect it.

Excuse my noob-ness, but do all e92 have sports steering? I know there's a msport steering wheel.
FYI, I don't have the msport package.

No, you can get a sport package separately. Sport seats, steering wheel, etc.
The steering wheel will be different.

FYI, I don't have the msport package.

All E92s (sport and non sport package) come with a sport steering wheel unless you have the M-Sport package. In that case you will have an M-Sport steering wheel.

The "round" airbag is the same as the Msport.

The "diamond" airbag (in the non-sport cars) is not compatible.
