changed spark plugs

196,000 miles... been thru 3 coils, needed to replace a fourth, so I instead of continuing to change one at a time, i bought 3 and figured I would just change the rest out. While i was at it I went ahead and replaced all 6 spark plugs (they had 96,000 miles on them. Here's what the old ones looked like. Electrodes are pretty much gone. Car runs so much smoother now.

How long are the life spam for 330i plugs?

I just replaced all 6 coils and plugs a few weeks ago for my 335i. No more misfire and a lot smoother now.

Yea you have some good wear on those, I replaced mine along with coils last week and they looked like they had plenty of life. I changed them with 67,000 on the clock though just for fun.

Those look horrible.
One has almost no electrode at all.

I would replace at least every 40-50k with the NA engines.

I called my dealer and he says Turbo should be changed at 60k and non-turbo at 100k. Personally I would change them at 50k on turbo or non turbo!

25k-30k on turbo.

So basically 1/2 of what bmw says.

+1. Following BMW's maintenance scheduling is a good way to kill your car before 125k miles.

I would say every 30k for turbo'd BMW's (15-20k if you're tuned) and 50-60k for N/A cars.
