Out of interest, what exactly are parts 3 and 4, and are they really needed?

3 looks like the part goes above the diffuser on the standard m sport bumper. You know the strip that is the same texture as the diffuser. As for the other bit ?

3 is a plastic strip which
Is present on
The standard bumper and 4 is a vinyl sticker(one each side).

that's correct they are both black you need 2x no 4. I left mine off and colour coded the lot

I'm intrigued by this to as I have the m sport rear bumper already so only need the bottom diffuser has anyone got the part number for the bits required?

For the E90/1 330 style (only twin pipes on the left) it's £160 +vat for just the main section from bmminiparts

Have you tried Harry fairbrain (I think)
It's a dealer that does discounted forum parts, google them. If you buy the diffuser kit then it costs more than the separate parts. That's the case for E92/3 anyway
