Thumbs down Land's End Customers "Shocked and Horified" over Scantily Clad Woman on GQ Cover...

Back story: Land's End customers received a free gift subscription to GQ magazine and this was one of the issues sent.

I mean this is some sad shit really. I am positive the only folks complaining and crying are 'overweight soccer mom types'. I feel sorry for their husbands. If this same magazine came to our home and my 2 boys, 6 & 8 got the mail and brought it in, at most my 8yr old would put it on the island and say to me or my wife, "she's pretty". And neither of us would have an issue with the mag or his comment. This is an example of the "whiny ass" society we have. Comments like: "Soft Porn and Absolutely Disgusting" all from female customers.
You can see alot more than this on The Discovery Channel, Net Geo, VH1, etc.

But I wonder if this was the very first issue that came or had others come with the typical male model or male celebrity on the cover?

I bet these same women complaining wouldn't have said shit.

I wouldn't want my 6 year old seeing that though. That's why I don't subscribe to it anymore.

So Kevin, you and I both have 6yr olds. Why wouldn't you want him or her to see this exactly?

Floral jewelry offends him...looks like a pearl necklace.

She is 6 and I just don't want her to think it's ok to walk around half naked. She just asked me last night how come I take off my shirt when I go to bed and how come she can't do that. The wife walks around our bedroom with her bra and panties on all the time but my daughter never asks her.

Got it.

Since you gave that analogy, have you explained why men do/can go shirtless and girls can't?

Now obviously I haven't gotten into Sex Ed yet with my boys, I and my wife have explained the anatomical differences between girls and boys so they aren't confused or ashamed.

Lightbulb

In case you didn't go the link and comments:

Quote:
“My 14-year-old son brought in the mail today & was quite disturbed & fascinated by a ‘gift’ Lands’ End sent us — a copy of GQ magazine with an absolutely OBSCENE cover!!!,” wrote one mother on the company’s Facebook page, which filled up with dozens of complaints. “I am appalled that Lands’ End — which I have always thought of as a ‘wholesome,’ family-oriented company — would be the one to expose my son to pornography!”

Another said: “We received your ‘Lands’ End Bonus’ of GQ magazine this weekend, and we are absolutely horrified. How can buying something as family friendly as school uniforms lead to soft porn in the mailbox? I’m thankful my son did not bring in the mail.”

Snapped another, “I ordered Christian private school children’s uniforms from your company and you sold my home address to a magazine company that peddles in soft porn for men???.
Seriously... A 14yr old teenager "disturbed and fascinated"???

WTF? If he was disturbed, the parents should be even more disturbed at him!

LOLZ, Yeah I should've clicked on the link first. Going back to your initial post these ladies have too much time on their hands.

There's far too much sexual shame in this country. "Shocked and horrified"? This is absurd

People will shield their children from any sexual content on a movie (something that is wonderful that they'll experience one day) and not think twice about showing the violence (something horrible that hopefully they'll never experience)

Just take a look at the thread I started: Mortal Kombat X

Ya think 6, 7, 8yr olds etc won't see their big bro playing (and play themselves) that hyper violent and gore fest of a game?

But BREAST??????????? Oh NOES!!!!!
