Smile Produced not Shipped

hey guys,

I Wanted to know if any of you guys knew how long does the car sit and wait before it gets shipped? Called my dealer, and he's sick and tired of listening to me rant. He told me an early January pick-up, but this dosen't seem realistic, as the car has not left, and needs to be prepped also...

What are your thoughts??? Thanks in Advance!

I have a 2008 e93 335 Space Grey, Saddle Brown, Sports, Premium, Navi, Auto w/ paddle, Cold, CA, HDradio, PDC, Factory Ipod

What stage is your car at? Have you tried tracking it on the WW website if you have a VIN? Generally, it takes a few days to get shipped, but the notification of shipping can be spotty.

Mine completed production on 29 Oct and was onboard 8 Nov, almost two weeks then took another five weeks from the port to my destination.

Car has been produced, I entered in the VIN on the WW website, but it says "not found." HELP!

You're in Austin? In Dallas, my E90 arrived 41 days after I ordered it, as promised by my SA. I want to say it took a week or so for it to get to Bremerhaven, then spent 13 days at sea. Once it was in SC, they had it in Dallas in two days.

I guess it depends on your SA's definition of early January Although, he can't make the ships go faster or the port guys work harder.

I ordered mine from BMW of Austin on Nov21.
Prodction finished on Nov 30.
Waited for vessel at Bremerhaven till Dec 12 (this was the worst wait time for me since my car missed 2 boats)
Currently ETA of delivery Jan 2-5, maybe Dec 31 but I am being realistic with the X-mas and New Year's holidays.

One huge misconception from reading the TrackingGuide is that NOT all cars will be transported over the Atlantic by W&W. BMW uses K-Line http://www.kline.com/ as well. Glad my ride is via K-Line cause they seem to not have as many stops in Europe prior to crossing the Atlantic.
So, if all goes smoothly, it will be exactly 7 weeks and something days from order to deliver date. GL, the wait is killer, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

OK WOW. I ordered my 335 e93 on Labor Day weekend, and it JUST got produced. Am I getting some BS from BMW of Austin? I AM SO PISSED OFF!!! What the HELL IS GOING ON???

is there separate allocations for convertibles only? this better be the case or I'm calling BMW Austin and giving them a piece of my mind!!!!
