Cold Idle
Hi guys I have a cold idling issue. The car seems to misfire when left to idle. It's fine when you put some revs on. I'll post the inpa codes below but they're in german for some reason the N53 doesn't get English language codes .
I bought the car used with 3 months warranty, and now its just out of warranty it's decided to not play ball. There's no engine management light on for some reason but there's plenty of codes! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated! EDIT: I did a rough idle test in inpa and cylinder 4 was consistently going into the red, may shed a bit of light Code:

Just for some closure to people with these codes (I've had a fair few PM's)
In the end it was down to the injectors. My dealer replaced all 6 at good cost and also wanted to do the knox sensor while they where at it. Becuase I wanted the 2 year warrenty I was obliged to have it done. If you want to save a bit of money then I'd recomend a specialist to replace your injectors. The knox sensor is there to alter fueling to suit emissions. I paid 400GBP for the knox sensor alone without fitting so its well worth a punt. If theres still an issue then you can always replace it after. |
Appreciate
