Angry E92 328i Shut Off, Limp Mode, Lots of Codes

Few days ago, I started notice that on the highway, it would go through a symptom I could best describe as losing power for split sec or buckling for split second. Never had that happen so I didn't think much about it.

Today before leaving work and letting the car warm up, car just shut down. I restarted and started heading home. Stuck in traffic, car died number of times, was struggling to restart and when it did start for the 4th time, car went on limp mode with heavy vibrations when at idle. Also received bunch of codes. CC-ID 419 354 24. Got home safely but car would not switch gears so I had to stay 45mph or under. It seems as if the codes are related to drivetrain but symptoms are of bad coils from what I've read. Any suggestions/ideas?

Also pulled codes P1727 P0335 P0171 P0174. I will read up on those codes as well

Let us know what those codes are and we can go from there.

As I posted earlier, P1727 P0335 P0171 P0174

From reading, P0335 is crankshaft position sensor which is $100 part, not sure if I should just replace it because I've also read that something else could cause to throw that code

All of these codes appear unrelated. P0171/4 are system too lean bank 1/2 respectively. P1727 is transmission control module related. All of these happened at once? I would definitely look for vacuum leaks. Not really sure what to say about the cam sensor and transmission fault. Perhaps a failing battery could be contributing?

Had battery replaced with OEM less than 2 years ago. I will get the crankshaft position sensor replaced and report back

Welp... you may be in for some diagnostics then. Again the lean faults are most likely a vacuum leak, a simple fix. Assuming that you don't have INPA I would leave the transmission fault to be diagnosed by a qualified shop.

I replace the crankshaft position sensor only, cleared codes and so far so good. Pain in the butt to get to with my big hands though
