Battery Issues

12.3v resting. 14.5v when car is on, even under load. Gotta do something about the battery. It's a 8/2007 build car, replaced original battery about 30 months ago with a rayovac and coded it. I take my motorcycle to work and only use the car for long trips or weekends around town so it doesn't get much time to charge. Think I should try a battery charger/tender first or just get a new battery?

Yes ctek is the common battery tender used here

model 3300 or better price range is 50 to 70 up to 150 for the better
ones. (higher model number with more current and features)
You probably only need to put it on for 5hours to overnight once a month.
Also lock the car to be sure it goes into sleep mode ASAP.

Your battery is more than fine. 12,3v is a good value. When the engine is running you're not measuring battery voltage but the voltage of the alternator (which has a good value too). So everything is fine on your car!!!

My 11/2007 build will crank just fine at below 10*F temps and 11.2v on the battery (as seen in the hidden menu). I'm still on the original battery @ 95k miles
