New Member Quick Questions :)

Hey everyone!

Im picking up a 2006 325xi next week and just have some basic Mod questions.

I already picked up a set of Style 95 rims and for those of you who don't know they are 19x9 19x10 both offsets of 24. I will be on stock suspension for now till I get coils next season.

Im coming from a stanced/fitted lexus is300. I still want stance but not to the extreme I had it lol want to be able enjoy the bmw ride quality. Don't mind minor stretch but looking for more of a "meaty" fitment.

I know xi i need to watch the OD and keep it within 1% which leaves me with 225/35/19 265/30/19 or 235/35/19 275/30/19
Heard I might have to do a minor roll in the rear but I'm okay with that. How should this fit and whats my best option. Will the front fitment be ok?

Last but not least, minor engine mods, what is suggested to start? Im new to the german coming from japanese. Any help is appreciated, thinking exhaust but not sure whats out there, also intake but what else and which companies do you recommend or recommend me to avoid. Also front lip, any suggestions?

cheers

Welcome, and please share pics of both rides!

I'd go with 225 front and 265 rears. If you want something more aggressive go with the second option, I don't have an xi so I can't say how the fitment is going to be.

OP-My buddy's 33i e90 is rollin with the same wheels and offset witha 225 front and 255 rear without any fender work. On my previous e92 335i I had 235 front and 265 rear similar offset without fender work. I think you'll be fine honestly but I'd ask this question in the wheels & tires section.

As far as mods go, it's usually a waste of time/money to try and mod a 325 personally. Most of us who do know that usually get the 335i but you can do the simple bolt ons, exhaust, intake and etc . . .

thanks guys! I'm leaning towards the 235 275 if I can as its the closest OD for the AWD system and i love the fat rear. I had 225 on my last wheels for my is300 which were 18x9 and it was a very minor stretch but still trying to avoid.

As for modding, Ill probably just do a axle back exhaust and intake, keep it simple. Im keeping this for a year or two. Im getting a really good deal from a buddy so i couldn't pass it up. Heard 330 seems to have issues with the injectors cause of the turbo. But maybe that will be my next car upgrade.
