I did a search and the results point you to the 'wetpaint...' Something or other website that is no longer.
I have an e90 with idrive and to my surprise I can somewhat monitor the looming failure of my water pump via a hidden menu that someone can help me unveil - that's excellent news. If someone has an idrive step-by-step, please share.

Never heard of that, and I would be interested to know as well.
As an aside, I monitor mine with the torque app on a cheap $25 android phone with a $7 wireless OBD ELM327 ebay connector. I can monitor a bunch of other things on the torque app such as boost pressure, etc. |

So when you're running your ELM327 tool, it's connected via bluetooth.
I use my phone to steam music while driving. Is the iphone capable of sustaining two simultaneous bluetooth connections?

.....And the torque app only works on android, not iphone. I am an iphone user and that is why I went out and bought the cheapest no plan android phone I could find. At Target, it is the Kyocera Event for $25 bucks. Or you can ask a friend for an old android they don't use anymore.
