First driving reviews just went up.
Best central place I've seen @ http://www.mustang6g.com Looks like Ford did a bang up job with this new gen.

Good work ford, hopefully they make another boss and drop some weight.
No doubt this car will make more expensive cars look like civics in terms of performance.

Wow, no faster than a 320 hp i6 M235 with 435 hp V8. I call that pretty embarrassing and 15 mpg to boot and that's progress!

Also, the M235i got a whopping 19 MPG (on premium) in the same test that the Mustang gets 15 MPG (on regular). Last edited by CirrusSR22; 09-17-2014 at 07:30 PM.. |

Everything looks great except for that WEIGHT! Looks like Ford lied on that again. I dunno, still good power for the money, especially considering it looks like they built the chassis/susp properly this time.

Once the first production vehicles are out to the public, I give it one week and people will have this car in the 10's. One month later, there will be cars in the 9's in the 1/4.

Thats the base model... they are hard to find.
IMO i still rather spend the 10k more for the BMW. I have a 13 Mustang (been through the hype before) and there is NO comparison to the my m235i. The 2015... I'm sure it's a better car than it predecessor not sure if its caught up to brands like BMW/Mercedes/etc... Also keep in mind the depreciation factor between a ford and a bmw. You save 10gs today but in the end your paying for it somewhere. Quote:

I would have been surprised if the reviews were not favorable. One of the reviews had the as tested price at 45k, that is right at m235i cost and not as feature rich (I would like to have the cooled seat option).
Ride and handeling looks to be favorable and performance numbers look to be pretty much flat. The coyote engine is a wonderful engine and responds very well to mods. Forced Induced versions are going to be pretty damn interesting. 40K plus is too much to spend on a mustang IMO, unless specialty model, they will be a dime a dozen in a couple years and discounted very heavily screwing the resale value. I would buy a low milage used one down the road for a fraction of the price, not to mention there are so many Voodoo rumors flying around and I can't help but think 2010 to the 2011 model and how 2010 buyers got screwed. The next level performance numbers are just not there with this new itteration but look out in 2017. Anyhow I like the new stang, just not for me this go around. I would have liked to have seen a lighter more exotic looking stang with better performance numbers or higher HP numbers considering the added weight. They took it to the next level in ride and handeling but not performance.

Here's a simple exercise... Go lease a Mustang GT fully loaded. Tell us what your payment will be for a 36 month lease.
This is what you get when you try on ford's site (and it's for a reason) We do not have any special lease incentives at this time in your ZIP Code, so we are unable to calculate a lease payment. Please contact your local dealer to determine estimated lease payments. |

Every table I've seen from MotorTrend to cars.com shows (for example) that a 2013 328i has a quicker depreciation rate than a Mustang GT Premium, both of which you could get into for around 32k. |

Nice try though guy with a 228i. As for the car itself, glad to see it's grown up a bit and has IRS. It is a bit heavy though and still not sold on the looks. Bring on the high revving GT350. |
