I think you need to do some reading. Read about how many of the 5.8 S/Cs have blown up. Its a fair amount, because even Motor Trend took a shot at it.

We are having a great time with the new Stingray. The car is a blast to drive. We only have the car for a week before GM picks it up, so far the car is a marvel and we are enjoying our time and all the positive attention and thumbs ups! Compared to my trouble-free C6 Corvette, the C7 is splendidly impressive and a progressive step in the right direction.

+1. Just read the C&D article today about them blowing a motor in their test C7 during the Lightning Lap...I haven't heard of many 5.8's blowing up. I would like to see a couple links too.
