i3 20" wheels, forged or cast?

Does anyone out there know if the i3 20" OEM wheels are forged or cast? Reason being is that I plan to powder coat my wheels, but heard that it's not smart to powder coat forged wheels. Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance!

Forged usually cost a lot more and they make a big deal of it in the specifications (as they tend to be lighter and stronger). In this case, lighter would be nice.

Where did you see that they were forged? The vast majority of them are cast out there.

It supposedly weakens a forged wheel due to the heat, and is not recommended.

Powdercoating can be done at lower temperatures, to reduce the risk of damaging the wheels.
