Got my BMS stage 1 confused about install

Hey guys, im a complete newb when it comes to engine installs. I got my BMS stage 1 and I looked through the install guides and even multiple videos, but after I popped my cover off and looked into my engine bay everything got confusing. I have a f30 335i harness B according to burger tunings website. I pop the cover off and look at the right side of the engine (when im facing it). There is this plug there that I believe is the TMAP its right next to this silver metal thing. Is this the tmap or is there another one im not seeing? Also the second connector which is on top of the engine hidden behind rubber. I pulled up the rubber and could not find that connection there.

Pretty much is there a easy way to know exactly what im supposed to unplug and connect to the BMS?

Am I just being too cautious?

the plug either fits.....or it doesnt lol. i know on the JB4 theres a harness u unlpug on the charge pipe, and one under the rubber insulation on the top, back right side of the engine.

Theres 2 youtube vids that show you the two plugs.. just watch them 10x with your engine bay open. You'll get it. The hardest part is removing the plugs at first because you have to press down really hard on the little fuckers to disengage the clip then pull. Use one hand to press down on the little clip all the way down first and use your other hand to pull. It should come off relatively easy once the clip is disengaged, if your pulling hard and its not budging then the clip is still engaged and your not pressing down hard enough.

I finally got it installed it took about 30 minutes to figure out those stupid clips, I still dont know how I got them off.

I have a couple of questions about the BMS stage 1. First question is i routed my box to the left side of the engine bay and put it where the battery charging thing is. Will this be an issue? Ill post a picture of it right now.

Second question sometimes I feel like theres a huge power increase and sometimes i feel like nothings changed. What the hell is going on?

It just feels like a weird place to put it.

Just practice with the Stage1 harness clips. A small screwdriver from the back side to lift the clip is the easiest way on older cars. The box should be routed and zip-tied to the strut under that black plastic cover per the install guide.

Needs some time to adapt, 100+ miles should do it. I felt the same way when I first installed it but seems to be running pretty smooth and consistent now
