No doubt a program was used because of the sequence of letters.. Usually people just stick to around 5 letters/symbols.

There are people (North Americans) who are discovering the Internet for the first time in 2008 too. I've been online since the 80's and I started using computers since the early 80's.

not enough room in here to posts all the computers I've had over the years...
I think my "dumbest" purchase was spending $4K on a Pentium Pro 200, 32MB RAM, 1 GB SCSI HD, 17" monitor, Matrox Millenium etc... in 1996 (I agree it was dumb, but I don't regret it ) |

My Dad's coworker's son bought a Pentium Pro 200 back then and he was founder and designer of Counter Strike. Back then at the time, the Pentium Pro was totally 31337 as heck.

My oldest was a Sperry 1106 mainframe (now in the Smithsonian). All of our programs were in Meta Assembler and on 80 column punchcards. The "memory" was made of boards of small copper wound donuts and didn't even amount to 64k. The whole thing took up a room about 1500 square feet. It was part of the Arpanet (precursor to the Internet).
