AE upgrade 20w - 40w
For anyone with LCI Halogen headlights / 20w LEDs Angel eyes, if you're considering upgrading to 40w LEDs for a brighter AE, don't bother, I've just swapped mine and they don't look any different. Last night I swapped over just the drivers side and, comparing the 20w & 40w side by side, I really couldn't tell the difference. I've now changed both sides but they still don't look any brighter to me, so my advice is, don't waste your money.
One problem I came up against, the LED body is quite big & prevented me replacing the back cover on my headlights. I struggled for well over an hour to locate the bottom lugs but the LED kept fouling the cover. Eventually I gave in and chamfered a bit of the lower lugs, it still a tigt squeeze but I did finally manage to get the the covers back on - this may not be a problem with all versions of the headlights but the results are certainly not worth the grief, stick to 20w LEDs |

Thanks for sharing. It has been long establish that halogen corona rings are not able to carry any more light than 10-20W. That is what I found from research when I had LCI headlights. Also, there are many companies which exaggerate their ratings of LEDs. I am sure that this will help others to avoid wasting their money. In your case, can you return those to get full refund?
