so i'm looking for more info on emissions readiness for a jb4 with catless dp... what are you guys doing in terms of inspection?

Don't need to smog your car for 6 years in CA. I have no reason to keep a car that long.

Im in Mass. so my concern is when the hook it up the obd to check rediness

You're gonna fail. MA uses the same emissions standards as NY and most of the rest of the NorthEast. They probably won't even test it if the sensor shows not ready. Besides that, when they look and see no cat, you'll fail immediately anyway.

Either get a proper catted downpipe, or swap on the stock one for inspection.

You will still fail emission even if you do not see the CEL code.

thats pretty much the info i've come across every where... i see the n54's used the "bms dp fix" is there something like that for the n55 f30 yet?

Even with the "fix", as soon as they see no cat, you'll still fail. Like I said previously, either get a proper catted downpipe or swap the stock one back on for inspection. Those are your only 2 choices.

They do a visual inspection over there?
Here in Vegas, they check OBD and thats it, no visual inspection

Here they do, and since MA shares our inspections, I'd assume they do also.

they don't do visual inspection over here... My S4 was straight pipe and passed but the tune i had on that set readiness.

all they do is plug into the obd
