Not an M3 but my next project
Picked her up today, 1990 E30 325is and when I am done she will be a completely restored with an S52 motor and supercharger.
She runs and drives right now (not well lol) but its ok I got her super cheap so I am ready to roll!

Good acquisition. A well preserved E30 by the look of it What is that thing sticking out of the left rear fender in the 3rd image (looks like it has a black cylinder on top of a white fibreglass rod). That isn't an aerial is it?

Its ok I will bring it back to 100% and more. I plan on doing a lot of custom work on both the interior and exterior. Completely new carpet, leather and leather wrapping door panels with contrast stitching etc.

Subscribed! These engine conversion projects are so awesome. If I was any sorta man I'd do one myself. You'll have a total sleeper.

Nice pickup, E30s have definitely gone up in price over the past couple of years. I was thinking about getting one myself to play around with.
Good luck!

My problem is right now deciding which way it will go. I was sold on S52/5speed but lately I am looking at the S54 swap. I really love the idea of that but its much more complicated and could extend the project a bit due to cost. I think I added up what I want to do to it and I am already close to $15k-$20k in parts and body work paint etc. My goal besides the swap is to make the interior and exterior mint as well. Its going to take a while.

excited to see this thing unfold. Looks like a fun and potentially stressful project (electrical)

That's going to be a little monster. Used to have an E30 myself. Don't miss it much to be honest, but it also didn't have an S54 under the hood. Keep us updated!

Just an update on an old thread. Life happens and we refurbed an entire house and moved a few times so the car project went REALLY slow.
Over the last 4 months though it moved along nicely and I am almost complete with phase I which is all mechanical and interior work being done. You can follow my thread if you want details, (its long and there is a lot of changing my mind in there). Phase II will be full repaint with the OEM Mtech II kit installed next spring!
