Looking for a Louder Exhaust

I figured that the MPE exhaust wasn't giving to be that huge if a difference compared to stock on my F30 335i. I was right even after break in sure it sounds refined and subtle but it's not quite the angry exotic beast mode growl I want like the Akraprovic or the Meisterschaft GTC exhausts.

I don't want to do a DP as I'm about to sell my F30 in a year or so for an M4 euro delivery so I'm already saving up money for the car, the trip, and mods I plan to do.

I was looking to see if anyone has modded an MPE with good results. On a stock muffler I woud care less gutting that thing and removing some packing material.

But on such a nicely polished up MPE I am seriously debating cutting it at a BMW tuner shop that also designs full custom race exhausts.

Anyone done this already on the f30 335i's MPE with a video of sound clip?

You won't get it with a turbo six and a well insulated cabin. Sitting inside the car you can hear deeper sounding exhausts but IMO that wouldn't qualify as "exotic".
IMO I equate "exotic" as meaning higher pitch (ex Ferrari). I think the MPE hits that higher note vs the more American sounding AM exhausts out there. Still from inside the car the MPE sounds just a little deeper vs stock. Low frequency sound waves ya know.

There's plenty of YouTube videos out there. I remember one where the OP cut open a stock exhaust.

Good luck in your search!

If you have MPE just cut off the resonator, ive been considering this myself. Saw some videos on here and they sound pretty good.

I'd suggest the Borla S-Type full catback. I have that on my 335i and it sounds fabulous and definitely louder (but not ridiculous) than an MPE. Being a full catback, you'll probably pick up about 5 WHP too. It is very reasonably priced (roughly $1k) and highest quality stainless steel.

If you want an exhaust that sounds like GTHaus, then just get a GTHaus.
You can make good money selling your MPE

I went from stock exhaust to the DINAN exhaust, I like the DINAN exhaust but I wish it was more aggressive, looking back I should have gone with either the AKRAPOVIC exhaust or the GTHaus exhaust... You live you learn.

I only have a couple hundred miles on the DINAN so it should get louder but I doubt it will be at the level of the 2 exhausts I mentioned above.

This vehicle sounds like it also has the MPPK or similar.

I bought this saw for $20 and a pack of blades for $7 and it worked perfectly. And I have a tool to use for something else.
Also, if you have a problem getting the mounts out of the hangers, a simple removal of the single bolt holding the hanger drops the old muffler in seconds.

Yes, that's what I'm considering to do.
I'm only afraid about possible drone at low revs and high speed (tipically on highway), but who has done it swears there's no drone...
In Italy SuperSprint can produce all central exhaust line, from catback to the MPE, removing the central resonator

Check out the AWE Tuning exhaust, I am running that with the ER catless down pipe and it sounds amazing.

Would removing the resonator towards the MPE have issues with emissions during state inspections? I did that on my old 05 Mazda 6 with removing both resonators, but I had a buddy who would pass me every time. Heck the tint was 2.3% all around!!

I'm sorry in the Hybrid Car the sport sport+ mode activate the two exhaust exit only at speed > 10km/h

Does looking for a louder exhaust = looking for police attention?

It shouldn't. Removing your catalytic converter on the other hand would.

I just put borlas atak system on my car and I am thoroughly impressed. I think the cabin is just as queit as stock especially 70-80 mph. Everyone who has heard it loves it, the video eas has out there does not do this exhaust justice. I will be trying to load a video soon.

Wow....I thought my Borla S Type was loud....the ATAK must sound phenomenal.

It is quite loud when cold, but simmers down after a minute.
