State Senator Proposes Additional Fines for Left Lane Crawlers

Came across this article on the local fish-wrapper's website - State Sen. Michael Baumgartner (R- Spokane) proposes additional fines for motorists who drive under the speed limit in the left lane. I doubt it will keep slow pokes out of the left lane but nice to know someone else shares my frustration.

It's about time... Now if CHP and/or the mayors of Monterey Park and Alhambra, CA wants to follow suit and target slow drivers, he'd be able to row a boat through all the wads of cash if he wanted to!

People drive ridiculously slow around here; I've lost count of how many times I've been on the freeway blazing along only to realize I'm doing the exact speed limit!

There's a left lane law here in IL. It gets ignore by drivers and cops just like the cell phone law.
