So as I go back and forth whether to retrofit my msport wheel or sell it, I was able to find a cheap US spec Msport airbag (32307845798). It's from BMW of roseville in California. (image is wrong, but the part number is correct)

I was able to get my local dealer to price match the exact part number and confirm it's the USA spec msport airbag for my car. They wanted $925 just for the airbag before I showed them that link! I got it for $693.90

To my knowledge, as long as your dealer will price match, this is the cheapest way to get a genuine OEM airbag for your car. The only other place would be getbmwparts.com for $780 shipped.
