Too bad they don't offer ED pricing for the 1 series.
Car looks a little different but promising in fun catagory.

Since this will be marketed to be a big seller for BMW, I bet dealers will have a ton of them on the lots. I look forward to checking out the 135i, too. A bit too small for me, though.

I am a car guy, so i always need to know most cars first hand ie. how they drive, what are the pros/cons etc instead of reading magazine reviews.

When are they hitting the dealerships? i can't wait.

i'd never get one for myself because it looks...weird o_O;
tii definately looks better but considering the extra "bucks", i dont think it's worth it in either way.
let us know how it goes

It has good features available including factory M-Technik.

It will be a winner without a doubt.

I will be considering 135i along with E92 for the future. Concerned about the small back seat, but will hold judgement until I get some time behind the wheel.

Official release date is 03/22/2008.

The first wave of Priority 1 orders has arrived at the VPC in Newark, so customer ordered cars may be arriving sooner.

It will handle like E90/E92 because it shares many suspension components, but with a shorter wheelbase.

ED pricing was released in December.

BMW already confirmed there will be no tii model at this time. They are offering most of the parts through the Performance Catalog.

ED pricing is released but i heard on many thread and from people. the 1 series will not get discounts of ED pricing (similar to M series cars).

i am looking to get one for the wife...she still wants an X5 though...and I want to keep our Nissan SUV because I don't feel bad about beating it up...or when it gets dirty...an X5 for her would mean a lot of work for me.

But a 135i would be a nice (little) sporty thing that seems perfect for the ladies...no offense to the dudes out there interested in the 1ser, but it seems like a "girlie-mans BMW" (to quote Hanz and Franz).

"I dun know why little girly mans try to drive little girly car..."

"Yah, yah, look at hez cah Franz, eet iis so teeny-weeny..."

"Yah, you get e90 girly man, we are here to pump, you up!"

x5 with the 20 inch wheels r nice though.
but i would rather add 1 series + keep the Nissan SUV.

3/22 - i got a date at the dealership.
