Clash of clans - boosting collectors

i had the question of "is it worth it to boost your level 12 collectors?"

so i calculated the math behind paying actual dollars for green gems or boosting your collectors with a one week shield. here is the math:

GREEN GEM COST
1 week shield = 250 green gems
boosting level 12 gold collectors = 70 green gems per day
boosting all gold collectors for every day of the 1 week shield = 490 green gems

GOLD
gold production rate for 1 lvl 12 gold mine = 3500 gold per hour
so for all 7 gold mines = 24,500 gold per hour
which is 588,000 per day
which is 4,116,00 per week (unboosted, and with the one week shield)

BOOSTING WORTH
i measured one gold mine (unboosted for 1 minute, it made 58 gold)
then measured 1 gold mine (boosted for 1 minute, it made 116 gold)
so boosting doubles production rate.

so for 740 green gems (250 for week shield + (490 for boosting all gold collectors each day)) you can make 8,232,000 gold

as opposed to paying money for green gems, to get 8 million gold you need 2400 green gems. which cost 20 dollars. or boosting for 1 week will cost you about 7 dollars.

I never boost collectors. If you have to gem something, boost your barracks and get a few more raids in which will get you more loot overall.

originally thats what i thoiught but the most you will get out of a raid is 300k? if you 3 star the opponent. and on top of that having a 3 star army will cost over 100k so the trade off is elixer. as oppsed to the one week shield and boost gemming, you can more than fill your gold storages

You can double the number of attacks, or more if you barch. Each raid can net you 300k profit, or more if you include loot bonus, and also DE.

I've never had any issues getting enough loot to keep all 5 of my builders busy. As a townhall 10, I can usually find huge payday bases if I'm patient enough
