N52 Motor Mounts, which ones?

I want to get new motor mounts as mine are looking suspect.

I have a neighbor who can help me with the DIY (he's a pro) but I was wondering what a decent upgrade is for the motor mounts on my 328i. Don't want to break the bank, but want something a little better than whatever OEM is for this car.

Those are just 335i mounts. You want IS nounts, (only 1 is unique )

Only the right mount is upgraded for the "is" mount. The left mount is just OEM. I can't confirm if BMW uses different mounts between the 330i and 328i, but when I was looking to upgrade I used the following part numbers:

Left Mount = pt# 22116760330
Right "is" Mount = pt# 22116793240

Do you have a specific suggestion?

Doesn't all poly crack/crumble/break over time? Heat makes it even worse.

poly will deform eventually, but technically it lasts longer than rubber.

but really, the stock mounts last for 100,000 miles. get the 335is mounts and call it a day. extra NVH isn't worth it unless you're building a pure track car.

I'll second that.

Depends on the brand. Certainly seen a number of Powerflex failures over the years. For engine mounts I definitely would opt for sport focused factory rubber over aftermarket options.

FWIW there are no Group N engine mounts for the N52

I know, I looked. The E90M 3 still uses the conventional E36/46 engine mounts, so that's out.

AKG mounts were the only ones I could find but then I needed the closest thing to solid mounts I could get to make the shifter usable on the track.

Well i'm sold on the 335is part 22116793240 as long as they really fit the N52 e90, and it sounds like that's what you guys are saying.

But will it make any noticeable difference at all? Difficult to improve torque delivery without using more solid mounts throughout the driveline. But it probably doesn't matter with the incremental improvement from the 335is mounts.

Definitely the issue when replacing worn out mounts. Pretty much anything will feel like an upgrade.
