Shelby SSC!

I never thought I'd see one of these in real-life, let alone someone that is local. It sounded incredible!

Lots of really nice cars there. Great turnout, but alas, family calls and I had to leave. My little one was looking forward to riding her bike with me. I was out of there quickly.

The performance is impressive but it looks like a styling proposal form Lamborghini way back in the eighties, it's just nasty looking, the detailing is poor, I don't know what they were thinking with the headlights, and the shitty looking gas struts for the doors and engine lid, what were they thinking?

We were at the event as well. Cool car, faster than just about anything, but ugly as sin. The shape was a caricature and the bodywork looked like the envy of Bricklin GT.

so i could be wrong because i don't follow them too closely but i believe that is a very old design and just slightly refreshed a few years ago at it's end of life.

if it looks dated, that's because it's like a 10 yro design. still a marvel imo.

wasn't it's replacement the tuatara (sp)? it looks like a fighter jet! i will post a picture later if when i have time to find one.

Actually the build quality looks really good on the car. I was surprised. The body gaps were all tight and nothing looked like it was slapped together at all. Everything looked like it had a purpose for sure.

Styling is different for sure and it looks like a couple of different cars here and there, but it looked like it was shaped by a wind tunnel in order to achieve 270mph.

I was stunned to see one in real life. Probably one of the most rare ultra exotics on the planet.

how is it not exotic? it's a true super car that has beaten world records. there are several cars that still cannot even come close to this thing in terms of speed and performance... and it's like 10 years old!

i've never seen so much hate for an amazing car.

I was at this event as well. The person who owns this car has several other "alternative" exotic cars of US origin. He occasionally shows up at the Bucks County Exotics cars and coffee event.
