Is updating the Valentine 1 worth it?
I picked up a v1 back in 09 when I purchased the car. The last couple years it's become unusable due to all the false k band allerts on the highway due to trucks and lane departure warning systems. The latest update from Valentine claims to have greatly diminished these false warnings. I've been driving without it for close to a year now and I am wondering if anybody with a newer system or has done the update has found that it's worth while.

I did the upgrade last year. Most definitely worth it.

A friend of mine runs several "old" V1's in his cars and got fed up with all the false signals from cars with radar and opted to upgrade to a NEW V1 because the cost to upgrade an old unit was nearly as high as a brand new V1!

Sell your old unit out right and just buy new one. Depending on version they can still bring between 200 and 300 used.
Sold mine last year V3.826 and got $250. Good luck.

Upgrade is about $130. Definitely cheaper to upgrade than buy new. Sounds worth it. Thanks for the input.
