Can't have anything nice anymore

So I went out to my car this morning, went to put my gym bag in the boot and noticed:

Yep, some a$$hole has stolen my high kick spoiler.

Properly angry as the retard must have used a screwdriver to prise 1 side up, meaning that I will have to touch it up.

So annoying that this happened, its not like it could be used for any other car, its made for the E92 ffs. Just astounds me that people will steal a £90 plastic spoiler from Taiwan these days.

I think it happened yesterday evening when I parked in a public car park for an hour. I reversed into a end space and now I think of it there was a bush that was covering the back half of the car so someone would of had plenty of cover.

Looks like ill have to order another.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

theres some right scum out there isn't there..

Like you say there'll have had to quickly prise it off and probably bent it out of shape anyway so its not going to stick back down again properly now.

Urgh, that's not good. Getting the tape off is a nightmare, my high kick was coming off so I had to re stick it down and spent longer getting the bloody tape off. Hope you get it replaced!

Yeh I'm going to attempt to clean the tape off after work. I've got a good tar remover I use when doing a full decontamination of the paint. Hopefully that'll shift it.

Yeh I'll be getting a new one from Taiwan, need to cover up the scratches they put in the paint!

That'll be on gumtree later.

Same thing happened to me. I'd had my car 5 days and some scum-bag stole the shark fin on Christmas day.

Shooting is too good for these kind of people.

TBH that's probably the case. Im sure they must have damaged it in the process of getting it off as they had to use a screwdriver to pry it up at 1 side. It's only plastic so surely would have been dented.

Might look a bit odd if I go snooping round the edges of any high kick spoiler'd E92's though lol

What a bunch of f*ckwits.

Some people are just proper jealous too and do things like this even if they don't actually want it or want to sell it.

I've bonded mine on with tigerseal so even if they want it they ain't getting it. I'd be happier it being destroyed than them get the better and have it away.

What colour was the spoiler (Metallic Bluewater?) and where did this happen?

I will keep an eye out on Gumtree/Ebay to see if I come across anything suspicious, these people need to be caught and made to pay for their crimes

Im a firm believer of karma, rest assured they will get what they deserve!

Maybe a bit OTT but what if you screwed down the next one? Or molded it into the boot so that its seamless?

Yeh they proper went for it. I parked up at 6:30PM and was out by 7:20PM. I parked in a car park used by people visiting the dentist, there was an old lady sat in her car when I parked up and a passenger in a new car that had parked next to me after I parked. If I noticed then I would've asked her if she saw anything but she looked at me when I got back in and didn't say anything so I suspect not.

Yep metallic bluewater, happened in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

Thanks I will be doing the same, as well as other E92/3's round my way.

Lets hope so.

Cost really mate, can't afford to go down the moulding route and screwing it mean drilling holes in the boot which I'm not up for doing either tbh.

I will probs end up using tiger seal on the replacement.

f'kin ridiculous mate. Such scum out there.

I just can't park my car anywhere and relax. Even in my home I'm now putting a steering wheel lock on. In any car park I park as far away from other cars as I can to avoid doors slamming the side of mine or getting keyed. But it actually makes the car stand out more and being far away, more easy to steel from with less people seeing it.

It's like the shiny blue metal dustcaps you use to put on your pushbike as a kid (modding started early haha). Even those got nicked.

That's exactly the approach I took yesterday.

I saw an end spot and thought yeh great 50% less chance of having some bellend open their door onto the side of mine. But now I think of it, the massive bush that was covering the rear and half the drivers side was perfect cover for the low life to duck behind and not be seen.
