Tow hitch tread pattern

I'm wanting to build my own front license plate holder. I want to find the right thread pitch so I can buy the correct bolt.

The hook should be in your trunk, can use that to compare.

Yea I got the hook out and took it into a couple hardware stores and I couldn't find anything with that course of thread pattern. I'm wondering if anyone else has made there own front plate holder?

Can you buy another stock tow hook and modify that?
